TL;DR
SYKY sends ETH on Base. To move funds, paste your Ethereum address (0x…) in “To address”, enter the amount, and tap Submit.
What you’ll need
- An Ethereum address (0x…) from your destination wallet or exchange.
- Confirmation the destination supports Base deposits for ETH. (Most major wallets and many exchanges do.)
Why “check Base support?” Your address is the same across EVM networks, but exchanges/wallets only credit deposits for networks they support. If Base isn’t supported, your funds may not be credited.
Option A — Send to your own wallet (self-custody)
- Open your wallet app.
- Tap Receive/Deposit for ETH and copy your Ethereum address (0x…).
- Confirm in the wallet’s UI/docs that it supports Base.
- In SYKY, paste the address → enter amount → Submit.
New to wallets?
Install a reputable wallet from your app store. During setup you’ll get a recovery phrase—store it offline and never share it. Then follow the steps above.
Option B — Send to a centralized exchange (to sell or cash out)
- Log in (or sign up) with an exchange that accepts on-chain deposits of ETH on Base.
- Go to Deposit → choose ETH → copy the Ethereum address (0x…).
- Verify the deposit flow or help docs explicitly include Base.
- In SYKY, paste the address → enter amount → Submit.
Not all “crypto” apps accept external transfers. Some services let you buy/sell but don’t provide a deposit address or accept inbound onchain transfers. Examples: Robinhood, PayPal, and Replit (not an onchain wallet).
Critical do’s and don’ts
- ✅ Confirm Base support at your destination before sending.
- ✅ Send a small test first to any new address.
- ✅ Use copy/paste—avoid typing errors.
- ❌ Don’t send to a bank account—you need a crypto address (0x…).
- ❌ Don’t send to apps that lack an ETH deposit address (they won’t accept external transfers).
- ❌ Don’t expect reversals—blockchain transactions are final.
Timing and limits
- Arrival time: Usually minutes; exchanges may wait for confirmations before crediting.
- Min/max amounts: If applicable, SYKY will display them before you submit.
Troubleshooting
“Invalid address”
- The address format may be wrong. Ensure it’s a standard 0x… Ethereum address copied fully.
Funds not showing up
- Confirm your destination supports Base deposits for ETH.
- Some exchanges credit only after a set number of confirmations—allow extra time.
My exchange doesn’t mention Base
- If Base isn’t listed in its Deposit info/docs, it likely doesn’t support Base deposits yet. Use a different exchange or a self-custody wallet.
My app has crypto trading but no deposit address
- Apps like Robinhood, PayPal, and Replit don’t accept external crypto deposits. Use a destination that provides an ETH deposit address (0x…) and supports Base.
FAQs
Do I need to select a network in SYKY?
No. SYKY sends ETH on Base. Paste a standard 0x… address and ensure your destination supports Base.
Are addresses the same across networks?
Yes—your Ethereum 0x address is the same across EVM networks. What changes is which networks the destination credits. Always verify Base support.
Do I need a memo/tag?
No. ETH on Base doesn’t use memos/tags.
Can I send to an ENS name?
We do not support entering an ENS name at this time. Please paste the full 0x… address.
Can I send directly to a bank?
No. To cash out, deposit to an exchange that supports selling and bank withdrawals, then withdraw there.
